Of 480 total graduates in IIM Kashipur's MBA and MBA (Analytics) Batch of 2023-25, 433 sought placement through the institute and accepted offers, while 37 did not seek placement through the institute (2 continuing education, 3 postponing their job search, 2 pursuing entrepreneurship, 3 returning to family business, 9 placed outside the campus process, and 18 for other reasons) and 10 remained unplaced. This report was independently audited by Infomerics Analytics and Research Pvt Ltd, covering remuneration, function, sector and location data. The average Cost to Company was Rs 14.95 lakh against a median of Rs 14.46 lakh, with a highest package of Rs 33.12 lakh and the top 25% averaging Rs 20.92 lakh; 190-plus recruiters participated.

Information Technology was the leading sector at 26.3% of offers accepted (114 of 433), ahead of BFSI at 19.6% (85 offers), Manufacturing at 16.6% (72 offers) and Consulting at 16.2% (70 offers); FinTech took 7.6% (33 offers) and EBusiness 4.2% (18 offers), with Engineering/Technology, Energy, Consumer Goods, EdTech, Retail, Market Research, Health, Media/Entertainment and Telecom rounding out the remainder in low single digits. Key takeaways

  1. Pay bands moved in mixed directions

Median CTC fell from ₹15.03 LPA in the prior cycle to ₹14.46 LPA this year (−3.8%). Highest CTC rose from ₹29.86 LPA in the prior cycle to ₹33.12 LPA this year (+10.9%). Prefer the median over highest when sizing a typical outcome for this batch.

  2. Information Technology (IT) led the batch at 26.3%

Information Technology (IT) accounted for 26.3% of offers, or 114 offers, the largest sector share in this 2025 report. The next sector, BFSI, sat at 19.6% (85 offers), so the gap between first and second is 6.7 percentage points. If your target function sits outside this lead sector, treat the headline placement rate as a campus-wide figure rather than a guarantee for your preferred cohort.

  3. Top two sectors took 46% of offers

Information Technology (IT) and BFSI together made up 45.9% of offers, a concentrated recruiter mix. Manufacturing was a distant third at 16.6%. Concentration is not automatically good or bad, but it does mean batch-level averages can mask thinner opportunity in secondary functions.

  4. 90.2% of the eligible batch placed

433 of 480 eligible students accepted offers through the campus process (90.2%), with 47 opting out or taking paths outside the reported pool. High conversion is the headline; the more useful follow-up is whether your preferred sector and role type showed up in the sector split and recruiter list below.

  5. Strong showing in case competitions

Students achieved 5 National Winners, 6 National Finalists and numerous National Semi-Finalists in corporate case competitions this season.
