Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune (SIBM Pune) was established in 1978 and is the flagship management institute of Symbiosis International (Deemed University), one of India’s earlier institutions to receive deemed-to-be-university status for professional and international education. It is based on the Symbiosis campus at Lavale near Pune, Maharashtra, and offers a two-year full-time MBA. The institute is known for running its annual placement process, the Campus Recruitment Programme, as a largely student-managed exercise carried out by its own Placement Advisory Team. It draws recruiters across consulting, BFSI, FMCG, and IT/ITES sectors and has a long track record among India’s older private management institutes.
