Indian Institute of Management Nagpur (IIM Nagpur) was established in 2015 as one of six new IIMs set up by the Government of India that year, and it was mentored in its formative years by IIM Ahmedabad. Its permanent campus in Mihan, Nagpur, Maharashtra, engaged the National Institute of Design for its visual identity, including a logo built around a motto drawn from the Taittiriya Upanishad on truth through individual reflection and collective discourse. The institute’s flagship two-year MBA places students primarily into BFSI, IT/ITES, consulting, and manufacturing roles, sectors that together account for the bulk of its annual placements. It has built a growing recruiter base that includes both Indian conglomerates and multinational firms.
